A total of 105 foreign tourists who ride the MV Clipper Odyssey cruise ship to visit several attractions in the city of Banda Aceh. The arrival of foreign tourists are greeted with a traditional ceremony led by Vice-Mayor of Banda Aceh Illiza Saaduddin Djamal in Ulee Lheue on Monday (1/10/2011).
From Port of Ulee Lheue, the group tourists were taken to Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Mausoleum Complex of Sultan Iskandar Muda, and visited the tsunami tourism to lose their ship.
Mike Messick, chairman of vacationers, on the sidelines of a ceremony of welcome, said their arrival to the city of Banda Aceh within the framework of educational tours. "Tourists come from a number of countries. We left the cruise from Singapore, visiting a number of places on the island of Sumatra," he said.
Before visiting the city of Banda Aceh, foreign tourists are also day trips to the North Aceh district. Furthermore, they are to the island of Nias, North Sumatra, and Ujung Kulon, Banten Province. "We are delighted to visit the city of Banda Aceh. A lot of tourist attraction capable of attracting the international community, especially the tsunami tour," said Messick.
While Deputy Mayor of Banda Aceh Illiza Saaduddin Djamal said the arrival of foreign tourists visiting a part of the program year tour of 2011. "With the arrival of their shows are ready to implement the City Government of Banda Aceh Banda Aceh Visit Year 2011. We expect to be a lot of tourists visit similar to the capital of Aceh province," he said.
Previously, Head of Culture and Tourism City of Banda Aceh Reza Fahlevi said MV Clipper Odyssey cruise ship carrying foreign tourists from the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Spain, Britain and New Zealand.
